A message from Mel Orellana –
I’m proud to call North Castle home. Since moving here in 2013, my wife — a lifelong resident — and I have been raising our three daughters in the same community that has given so much to our family. This town isn’t just where we live; it’s where we are invested, where we raise our children, and where we want to build a strong future for the next generation.
I earned a degree in Business Administration from Cazenovia College and began my career in finance, gaining valuable experience in budgeting, management, and strategic decision-making. Today, I serve as President of a high-end home remodeling firm headquartered in Armonk, with operations throughout New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey. Through this work, I have learned firsthand the importance of fiscal responsibility, efficient operations, and accountability. Managing a large-scale business has taught me how to balance budgets, lead teams, solve problems, and deliver results — the same skills needed to effectively run our town.
I’m running for Town Supervisor because I believe government exists to serve its residents — not the other way around. The people of North Castle deserve a local government that is responsive, transparent, and focused on delivering essential services. My priority will be strengthening our infrastructure, investing in our Highway Department, improving Town Hall operations, and ensuring that town services meet the needs of our residents every day.
I am committed to maintaining a healthy fund balance, keeping taxes steady, and managing taxpayer dollars with the same care and responsibility that families and businesses must use to manage their own finances. It is the duty of local government to invest the people’s money wisely and return that investment through quality services, safe roads, and reliable town operations.
As Town Supervisor, I will work tirelessly to make sure our government works for the people of North Castle. Together, we can strengthen our infrastructure, support essential services, and protect the quality of life that makes this community such a special place to live.
